# István Gergely Jászberényi

Managing Director · Budapest · HU / EN / DE

I trained as a mechanical engineer and became a managing director. I've spent fourteen years running industrial services companies. On the side I build AI systems that take the paperwork off my desk.

## At a glance

- Education: MSc mechanical engineer, MBA
- Field: Industry & industrial services
- Languages: HU · DE · EN
- Hobbies: Home automation · drones
- **14** years in industry · **1** video a week

## What I usually do.

In roughly this order.

### Build

Taking a small operation and turning it into an industrial service business, from the first hires to the first big client.

### Integrate

Bringing acquired companies into one way of working, with service levels written into the contracts so clients can measure them.

### Professionalise

Building controlling and reporting where there was none, and IT the business can afford.

## Hi, I'm István.

I've spent most of my working life on the operations side of industrial companies. My first jobs, at Bosch and AVL in Budapest, were in German.

## Weekends are for tinkering.

Home automation, from the wiring to the code. Drone flying. Weightlifting twice a week. And the AI system that runs my own planning, which saves me at least an hour a day.

## The Suit Who Builds

I don't write code for a living, but I built an AI system that handles part of my work. The channel shows how it's done and what broke. New episode every Wednesday.

## Handmade apps

I also make small games and apps for iPhone and iPad. No ads, no tracking, no data collected. Three games are coming to the App Store soon, and a weather app is in development.

- Ground Control (iPad · air traffic control): Run the ground and the tower at twelve real airports, from Gatwick to Atlanta. https://appdev.jaszberenyi.com/groundcontrol/
- Rocky Courier (iPhone & iPad · arcade): Pedal a stone-and-log copter through 30 caves and fly every parcel to the right hut. https://appdev.jaszberenyi.com/rockycourier/
- Deck Boss (iPad · flight deck management): Run the flight deck of six real carriers and assault ships: land, tow, arm and launch. https://appdev.jaszberenyi.com/deckboss/
- Meteomix (iPhone & iPad · weather · in development): Five weather forecasts side by side: where they agree, and what the kids should wear. https://appdev.jaszberenyi.com/meteomix/
